Adjustable SOHC gears on a DOHC

Adjustable SOHC gears on a DOHC

Postby fiat2nv » Fri Dec 01, 2017 12:00 pm

Hi Guys,

Possibly a stupid question but would it be possible to use two of the below sohc cam gears on a 2L twin cam?

My main concern is the offset of the gears, would they line up right on the twin cam?

I could always redrill the dowel hole for the cam if it were in the complete wrong spot..

Thanks, Andrew.

Not sure Andrew but Ross makes these for the twin cams and they will bolt straight on without any work

IIRC correctly they are the same?

My Kent gear has a shoulder on the back edge that would make an incorrect offset a bigger issue - those ones in the photo don't appear to have any?
